Welcome to our catalogue. Have fun browsing! The Crime and Romance sections are new, as of February 2008. All sections are current until superceded.
Remember that this catalogue only lists our new titles; we also have plenty of older releases and out-of-print classics. Contact us to ask if we have one of your "wants".

This web site is set up to accept orders with payment by credit card.
Security matters to us: we use very high levels of security (SSL) to protect your card details. Your privacy matters to us: cookies are used on this shopping site, but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item. They are not used to collect any information on you other than that which you volunteer. Please note that using internet security software with a privacy facility may impede our shopping cart cookies - please turn off your software while you shop and turn it back on again when you leave. Delivery Times
Our normal average shipping times for the UK and Europe are 14 days, or up to 21 days in busy periods. For the rest of the world, surface mail takes approximately 6 weeks and airmail takes approximately 3 weeks.
Please wait for at least these times before you enquire about an order; we are unable to help if the parcel is simply in transit. Thank you.

Postage and packing
The total from your on-line shopping basket will include the cost of your books, but not the postage. Our postage and packing charges are added later according to the following scale:

United Kingdom: for orders of -
up to £6.99, £1.25p is added
up to £14, £1.75
up to £18 & a single hardback, £2.75
up to £24, £3.50
up to £30, £4.00
up to £40, £5.00
up to £50, £6.00
up to £60, £7.00
up to £70, £8.00
up to £85, £9.00
up to £100, £10.00
and over £100, £15.00
each magazine, 60p
Overseas Orders: for orders of -
up to £6.99, £1.60 is added
up to £14, £2.75
up to £18, £4.00
up to £24, £4.50
over £25, 20%
each magazine £1.50

All overseas parcels are sent surface mail unless otherwise specified. Airmail costs are higher and dependent on parcel weight; these will be charged at cost if an airmail despatch is requested.
We can take phone reservations, but can only hold books for up to two weeks. Second hand books want lists are checked against stock once at time of reciept only. We do not keep want-lists on file.
Unfortunately, we cannot always guarantee first editions/printings/signed copies. Please always indicate if you will accept later printings or unsigned copies in the event of firsts or signed editions no longer being in stock.
We operate a back-order system ie if a book is not in stock at the time that you order it, we will endeavour to get it and send it on at a later date. If this is unacceptable to you, please let us know through our contact page, and we will send only those items which are in stock at the time of order.
